Mr. Manuel Videira
After graduating in 1984 from the Academy for International Law in The Hague, Holland, and obtaining a law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1985, Mr. Manuel Videira was admitted to the Québec Bar in December, 1986. He also undertook studies at the Université Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) in 1986 and 1987 to obtain a post-graduate degree (DEA) in private international law.
Since then, Mr. Videira, who is also a mediator in civil and commercial matters, has been practicing law involving commercial, civil, business, succession and co-ownership matters, as well as private international law and insolvency and bankruptcy law. Mr. Videira regularly pleads cases in court, has conducted numerous negotiations and brought various merger and acquisition transactions to fruition.
In 1991, he founded Manuel Videira Avocats law firm, which became Videira Richard Avocats in 2003. His focus has been and remains to achieve an expansion that matches the expectations of his clientele, always with the same determination to offer a multitude of quality services.
Mr. François Richard
A graduate of the Université du Québec à Montréal and the Université de Montréal, François Richard was admitted to the Québec Bar in 1994.
Since then, Mr. Richard has also become a mediator in civil and commercial matters and has developed his litigation skills as well as solid expertise in fields as varied as civil, commercial, corporate and labour law and has been instrumental in closing a number of major transactions.
He also sits on the boards of provincial and federal corporations and serves a clientele of small, medium and large businesses in the contentious aspects of their commercial and labour relations.
Mr. Charles Rochon-Hébert
Mr. Charles Rochon-Hébert is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the Université de Montréal. Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2005, he is the newest lawyer to join the team at Videira Richard Avocats.
He works mainly in the field of commercial and civil litigation. In addition, he actively participates in the drafting and negotiation of contracts and corporate documents. He also has a working knowledge of labour and employment law. Mr. Rochon-Hébert's objective is to listen carefully to his clients, whether individuals or companies of any size, so he can serve them as efficiently and effectively as possible.
